Welcome to another great summer of swimming at Woodland Swim Club! We are glad to have all our new and returning swimmers join us for another exciting season of swim.
This season we have two new coaches over our swim team, Victoria Robertson and Jackson Craft!
Victoria will be our head coach. She is a graduate of USM and has been teaching second grade at Corpus Christi. She is a former McGill Toolen swimmer who swam on their 2012 state championship team. She has coached swim and taught lessons at the YMCA and Amberly Swim Club. Her younger brother, Marshall, is a Gator swimmer.Jackson will be serving as our assistant coach. He will be a familiar face to our returning swimmers as he has been a Woodland swimmer for many years and helped with the swim team. He currently swims for CMSA and Davidson High School.
First swimmer per family………………………………$ 120
Second swimmer per family……………………..…$ 110
Third or more swimmers per family…..$ 100
All returning swimmers should pay their full dues at registration.
New swimmers may pay a $25 nonrefundable registration fee with the remaining $95 due by June 5th.
Nonmembers are charged the above fee plus an additional $80 per swimmer as a nonmember fee.
Our swim team depends on the funds from concessions and fundraisers to pay coaches, buy ribbons, and cover many other costs. Please plan on supporting concessions during home meets. Also, we ask each family to donate drinks to be used at concessions:
Volunteers are essential during swim meets. Every family must volunteer for at least 4 meets. More information about volunteering will be available when practices begin. There will be a Stroke and Turn clinic sponsored by MCAL for parents willing to serve as stroke judge. The clinic will be held May 12th at Bishop State Community College from 9:00-10:30. We would like at least two parents to attend this clinic. Please contact Alison Craft at 251-300-1867 if you are interested.
For meets, girls wear a solid, black suit, and boys wear a sold, black jammer. WST monogram in green is optional. Suits can be purchased at Swim N Tri or Academy Sports.
Your child’s safety is our top priority. Please refrain from talking to the coaches during practice. Their attention needs to be on our swimmers. When you enter the pool area, shut the gate behind you. Remind your swimmer that there is no running in the pool area.
Afternoon practices will begin May 14th. Practice times will be as follows:
*Please note that these could change as we work with other teams to schedule meets*
